EMD Committees closed in December 2020:

• Analytical Quality (C-AQ)
• Proficiency Testing (C-PT)

As of January 2021 a new Task Force on Global Laboratory Quality (TF-GLQ) was  established by the IFCC Executive Board to reprioritize and strengthen IFCC’s activities towards improving laboratory quality and in particular IQC and EQA for developing countries. The process involved a call for nominations for membership including the transition of the chairs of the C-AQ and the C-PT onto this new task force.

With the creation of TF-GLQ, the C-AQ and the C-PT Committees were no longer required as the remit of this new task force encompasses the majority of the work undertaken in these two Committees.

• Distance Learning (C-DL)

As of January 2021 a new Task Force on Global eLearning/eAcademy (TF-GEL) was established by the Executive Board. The process involved a call for nominations for membership including the transition of the chair of the C-DL  onto this new task force.

With the creation of TF-GEL, the C-DL  Committee was no longer  required as the remit of this new task force encompasses the majority of the work undertaken in thes Committees.
