Dr Vincent Delatour coordinates R&D activities in bioanalysis at LNE, the French National Metrology Institute. The aim of his work is to assess and improve accuracy and comparability of medical tests through the production of certified reference materials and the development of reference methods for the absolute quantification of clinically relevant biomarkers for various pathologies such as cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disorders, sepsis, diabetes mellitus, kidney disease, …

Vincent  chairs the European Metrology Network TraceLabMed and coordinates research projects at the National and the European Level. Vincent chairs IFCC working group on standardization of Procalcitonin assays. He also takes part in IFCC committee on Bone Metabolism and IFCC Working groups on commutability, CSF proteins, Neonatal Bilirubin and apolipoprotein standardization by mass spectrometry. He participates in JCTLM Working group on Traceability education and promotion and JCTLM Task Force on Reference Measurement Systems Implementation. Vincent participates in ISO TC 212 WG2 on Reference Systems and CLSI EP32 on Metrological Traceability and Its Implementation.

At the national level, Vincent participates in activities of the French Society of Clinical Biology (SFBC) as chair of the working group on interest and analytical performance of LDL cholesterol assays and he takes part in the working groups on neonatal bilirubin and kidney disease. He’s an expert for the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety (ANSM) and for the French National Authority for Health (HAS).

Vincent authored and co-authored over 50 publications in international peer reviewed Journals and has more than 100 oral and poster presentations in International Congresses.

His areas of expertise include metrology, traceability and standardization in laboratory medicine, production and certification of biological standards, performance assessment of IVD-MDs, absolute quantification of metabolites, peptides and proteins by mass spectrometry, calibration strategies, measurement uncertainty calculation, commutability assessment.
