Terms of Reference
- To promote the standardization of hemoglobin A2 measurement through the definition of an international reference system, including a reference measurement procedure and primary and secondary reference materials.
Current Projects
- Definition of a Reference Measurement Procedure (RMP) using mass spectrometry associated with proteolytic degradation. The method will have to be developed in compliance with the ISO 15193 standard and, at the end, listed in the JCTLM database.
- Preparation of a certified Reference Material (CRM) for hemoglobin A2, in cooperation with the Joint Research Center (BE).
- Implementation of the standardization on a worldwide scale, by following the roadmap recently developed, in collaboration with the ICSH.
- Preparation of a complementary matrix material for HbA2, to be used in Quality control programs.
