Jim Pierson-Perry is a Principal Key Expert (Research Fellow) in the Global Assay Development group of Siemens Healthineers. He has worked in R&D of in vitro diagnostics products for 40 years, developing and leading local and multi-national teams that have commercialized over 70 assays and instrument systems for global markets. His interests include assessing new clinical markers and technologies, optimization and data analysis techniques, process and design validation, and improving the assay product development process. 

Jim is a member of the IFCC Scientific Division Executive Committee, ISO Technical Committee 212 Working Group 3, the US Technical Advisory Group for ISO Technical Committee 212, the CLSI Board of Directors, the Executive Board of the AACC Industry Division, and the Chinese National Drug Reference Standards Committee. He received the 2011 Louis J. Dunka, Jr. memorial service award from the AACC Industry Division and the 2013 CLSI award for Excellence in Consensus Management.
