The Ebola outbreak that has been occurring in West Africa (Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria) since May 2014, is the theme of a Radio el Microscopio interview with Prof. Hilda Tendisa Marima-Matarira, President of the Zimbabwe Association Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Ebola is caused by infection with one of the Ebolaviruses, and spread by direct contact with a sick person’s blood or body fluids, or direct contact with objects that have been contaminated.
